This week’s broker tour was inspiring for the mid-range Southeast buyer. I toured six great houses yesterday in the $330-499k range, my favorite this Richmond Cape Cod that feels more like a big bungalow inside. It boasts an efficient period kitchen with lovely hex and subway tiles, four true spacious bedrooms (although one main floor bedroom would make a perfect den/tv room), two full baths, and all of the right updates from the ground up: new plumbing, waterline, 200 amp electrical panel, 90% efficiency furnace, and all appliances. At $445,000, the price looks pretty good too.
