Modern With a View

Today on tour Katrina took me to see a few drop dead gorgeous modern homes. I had planned on sticking close to the office but after seeing a few of the photos of this home my keys were in my hand and my pile of paperwork was left behind. This is why I love my job- it gives me the opportunity to go into some of the cities most beautiful homes, admire good furniture, amazing personal Art collections, clever design and see beautiful gardens and landscape. The stand out home for me today was 3820 SW Hewett Blvd. It is a 1942 home that has knotty pine details, gorgeous built ins and birch panelling and one of the more unique floor plans I have been inside of. They are calling it a 4 bedroom but it reads as more of a 2 bedroom with an adjoined nursery or office to the master in my opinion. This is not the kind of house you buy for the number of bedrooms, so I don’t think its much of an issue. The sellers have a beautiful collection of furnishings that make the home a complete story. Did I mention the views? The trees and west hills roll on for as far as the eye can see- stunning!! Listed with Kevin McCloskey of KM Brokerage for $879,900. Original owner was Herb Retzlaff one of the original partners and accountant for Fred Meyer grocery.
