The Yellow Pages industry dropped 540 million printed directories this year. That’s more than one per person. With the Internet available practically everywhere, why is this one per person ratio necessary?  It’s not!  If you are interested in opting out of receiving the yellow or white page books, check out this site: http://www.paperlesspetition.org/ With just a couple of clicks, think of all the precious natural resources you will be saving!

What do you do with all of the phone books you’ve collected over the years? Recycle them, of course! Check with Earth911.com  to find the phone book recycling center nearest you.
